I'm a medical/PhD student studying music & psychology, and I believe that music and narrative are important avenues of empathetic understanding between individuals and communities, which I study for my PhD in Music here. I'm especially interested how institutions, especially in education and medicine, build community and work towards a civic culture of pluralism and well-being. I want Lucy Cav to be the kind of inclusive, supportive community that educational and other institutions will seek to strive towards in what can be an increasingly alienating modern society.
