Welcome to the website of the Lucy Cavendish College Students’ Union!

Lucy Cavendish College is one of the 31 Colleges which constitute the University of Cambridge. It was founded in 1965 and has a unique commitment to providing a vibrant community that brings outstanding women from all walks of life together. Lucy Cavendish is not just the only educational institution for women over twenty-one years old in Cambridge, but also in Europe. You can read up on our history through the college's main website.

The Students’ Union (SU) is a lively and vital part of life at Lucy Cavendish. We organise social and sporting events, which give you the opportunity to connect with others, have fun and switch off from your studies. We help run the college bar and make sure our common room is the space you want it to be. We also provide a forum for you to express your thoughts and opinions about your experience of life in Cambridge, which we represent through our different officers. Finally, we keep track of and give funding to existing societies in college. All Lucy Cavendish students are automatically members of the SU, unless you choose to opt out. The SU committee is elected by the student body each year, and any Lucy Cavendish student is welcome to run for a position.

The purpose of this website is to connect you to our committee members and Lucy Cavendish societies, showcase our events, give advice, and answer questions.
